A Word from the President
Hello fellow writers and thank you for visiting our Web site! Having served on the Board of Directors for many years as Secretary and Vice President, I feel prepared for the challenge and welcome the opportunity to be President of the Scriptwriters Network Foundation. I hope to uphold our mission statement by achieving successful progress in the areas of Fundraising, Organizational Growth, Programming, and Industry Awareness.As the Scriptwriters Network continues to grow and as the entertainment industry and its media continue to evolve, so do the opportunities for you to become involved. Every time I go to one of our events, I have the pleasure of meeting talented individuals who are eager to share and collaborate. Take the time to foster relationships and maintain them through our network programs and fellow members.
This year Ray Bradbury, Simon Kinberg, Bill Marsilii, Timothy Sexton, Harve Bennett, Mark Fergus and other accomplished guests came to speak to our members. They consistently emphasized three keys to creative success: love what you do, be persistent, and continue your education. We’ll be uploading podcasts soon so our members can enjoy our Seminar and Speaker Series again and again throughout the world.
Just like the light of ancient stars, which has been traveling for millions of miles to shine on us, our storytellers serve as beacons of light for future generations. When darkness seems most prevalent, is when stars shine their brightest.
